What Could Be Driving The Coronavirus?

So it appears that there has been some success in treating the corona virus. The antimalarial chloroquine with the antibiotic azithromycin are showing some promise in the treatment of those affected by the virus. It appears that the anti inflammatory effects of azithromycin were beneficial in the cure.
This along with two characteristic of Covid-19 brought a question to mind that I'd like to share with you to see if it jives with my thinking. Her goes.
What common medical condition exhibits these effects on humans:

Mild when first exposed (Children are relatively unaffected by corona virus)?

Can be life threatening on subsequent exposure( those who have recovered from coronavirus can be reinfected and suffer more deadly effects)?

Is driven by an inflammatory response?

Give it a try. See what you come up with.
